The ones I have used were in cars and motorcycles for the radio to get rid of the alternator or stator whine you would hear. They are in-line of the DC positive before going to the radio. If it's interfering with the antenna I think they have filters for those also. Being a motorcycle mechanic, I know not having resistor plug caps can make the electrical system act up.
