Hello everyone. I am curious to know if anyone has mounted an auxiliary fuel tank inside their sonerai and hooked a 12v fuel pump up to it to transfer to the main tank? I was on Great Planes looking at parts and saw the fuel pump, which gave me the idea. It could add an hour or so to each flight.

I used to strap a normal 5 gallon gas jug in the front seat and pump the fuel into the main tank for longer cross countries. I could reach over to open the vent on the can when I started pumping. All I did was tape a pump to the can that had a cigarette lighter plug on the cord. I'd plug it in and the pump would start. The cap I just made a metal disk to replace the spout and soldered in a barbed hose coupling. The end of the hose in the jug had a clunk weight on the end to keep it at the bottom.

Mine has wing tanks, and a transfer pump.
I did not build it, and have been too busy skiing this winter to get into it more deeply yet.
