This is only the 2nd clear day so far this year. Was gonna go up and find the lookout at Three Fingers. But, the CHT guage decided to quit working. Engine was making plenty of power. So, I wasn't too worried. But, it spooked me enough to not want to go messing around that far away from a suitable runway.

Stunning! You've had 'biblical' wet weather recently! Proper rain and not just mist - my finance team is in Bellevue and I get here every 8 weeks or so.
 
Nice picture! And your wingtip is in it to prove it's not a postcard! :) I must say, I have faith in my VW but I don't think I'd fly over terrain like that. Even Pennsylvania forests make me hear funny noises.
