In the cockpit, where the fabric wraps around the bottom longerons, put a small bead of silicone between the fabric and the tube.
What has happened over time to my plane is that tiny bits of garbage gets trapped and causes ugly bumps to show on the outside along the longeron. This bead of silicone would keep this junk from getting wedged in.
Or, if you are using a liner in the cockpit, bring it from the fabric over the tube to keep the junk out.
