After prelim inspection but before making a purchase offer just over 2 years ago, i checked about a slot in our local EAA hangar, and it was agreed that if the wings folded, there was space.....
I had not actually verified that detail, but decided to buy it anyway.
So it has spent the intervening years in a neighbor's barn, entertaining the kids and doing its part to keep pigeon droppings off the ground.
Also got flooded up to the axles a couple times.
It never felt safe to start taking it apart or work on it under the conditions.

This past Sunday brought brighter surroundings and a more work conducive environment.

No decision yet whether to use the original S2 wings (already spar modded), or the newer RV3 wings.
Or have it all & build the first Sonerai 2 biplane?

Still pinching myself, but relieved. Nonetheless, g oing to be a slow process.
Some of the build strategy will be to optimize chances of a US AW "amateur built" certificate.
It also needs a raised canopy to fit me.
