Hey I'm a new member here and just bought a Sonerai 2L with a Great plains 2180. The airplane has been sitting since 94' so I'm going through it thoroughly. I'm hoping to have it flying next week. So far I'm really happy with my purchase. I'm located in central Alberta, Canada.

Nice!
Really taut lines.
Sonerais look fast sitting still, but whoever built thatone tweaked the fore & aft lines, or maybe the paint lines to really emphasize the effect.

Can you check if the seatback height is standard, or raised a little? Compressed seat-to-top-of-turtledeck dimension?
Pictures can be deceiving, yet the cut of the canopy looks to enclose somewhat more volume than typical. I can't decide if that is because it might have been extended a little lower toward the back, or if the turtledeck might be raised a bit. Or maybe it's all in my vision. :)

(Interested due to working toward raising my Canadian sourced -2L)

Can't wait to hear how it flies.

This has the high visibility canopy, I'm not sure if that means it's got more head room or just less aluminum flashing around the edges. I'm learning more as I dig through the airplane and documents. From the seat frame to the top of the turtle deck is a bit over 36". Sorry about the pictures, I don't have enough room to unfold the wings fully so the canopy won't open all the way.ĺ
