Life's priorities change forcing sale of my project. Fuselage about 90% complete. Has 5/8 gear with wheels and brakes, new canopy still in box, cowling, VW engine, wing skins, large and small wing ribs, ailerons, material for spars, deihl engine mount, fiberglass wingtips, new plans, firewall metal. Has aileron and elevator linkage finished, ready for rudder cables, and canopy mounting. Many pictures and price available if interested. Location is close to Columbus, Ohio.

What kind of VW engine do you have

Have to be honest, I don't know. Cylinders show fresh hone, I don't know how big it is. I planned on rebuilding it myself when the time come. It has the great plains front bearing, and a slick mag. No carb or exhaust. Single port, single plug heads.

I wouldn't rely on this part of that website:

"The Sonerai has folding wings so that it can be towed to and from the airport to save on storage expense."

Unless you live on the airport. A trailer works, but the Sonerai is not designed to be towed any distance.

My Sonerai is a II LS. Ser 0072. It has the jabiru J3300 fuel injected, solid lifter engine from which I get 3300 rpm and 127 hp. It is quick. At 127 hp it sees 200 MPH which is Vne. The engine has 200 hrs since new. I installed Hoerner wing tips, after flying it with the J3300 engine. During the test flight the fuselage fabric tapes peeled off at 200 mph. I completely recovered it last year and am going to assemble and fly it this spring. It is silver now,.
It seats two guys 6'6" tall.
However I also fly a Bakeng Deuce and thought I had the SIILS sold but the buyer had a 2 story work accident and has not recovered enough to allow him to fly.
He called me with an offer. This is the first time I've posted it here.
I have maybe $25,000 invested. There is something else that interests me and if It was sold I'd get that. I'm 75.
The previous offer was $16,000 US. I won't sell it for less than that. It's in Ontario, Canada. Is anyone Interested?

It is still available. The prop is sold and the 5/8 landing gear, I still have the 1/2" gear with wheels tires and brakes and all the rest of the parts listed. $3250 for all.

It now is less the engine, and has 1/2" landing gear instead of 5/8 listed. Price is negotiable.
