Hello guys, I am in the position that forces me to put my project for sale... I have a new work opportunity that doesn't allow me more time on my project so rather to keep the plane in my garage for a couple of years, i decided to sell her. I will probably regret that decision but I also want to see her in the sky at some times.
the Sonerai is the 2L built in 1997, completely dissembled in 2008 to epoxy the whole frame and overhaul the engine.
The plane flew every years since 2008 but I decided to redo the paint and change the engine and dash.
So i just completed a full Dash replacement with new gauges (Oil pressure, Oil Temp, Cyl Temp, MGL Airspeed and alt, Belite fuel gauge, Bingo fuel alert, USB charger and all fuses), Built new seats, cover with fabric carpet the cockpit, put new wheel fairings, disassembled the VW 2180 80HP, I kept the case but replaced with new parts the whole engine, add dual ignition, Sonex Aero-Injector, Oil sump with filter, new engine sensors etc... The engine is brand new let's say.
The plane is ready for engine start up, but need to sand the fabric for the new paint (I give away the paint too which is white, Red and black + primer)
I put in it this summer more than 6,000$ to rebuilt the engine and the dash, interior cost me about 1,000$, Sonex wheel fairings 250$ and paint 900$ but I just want to let her go for US12,000$.
I am located in Ontario Canada, 1h east of Detroit but I can organize delivery with Leduc transport. I heard they are very professional and not expensive!
