Am building a 2LS and can't find from the plans if the 1/2" side stringers lay against the fuselage, or if they are spaced away a certain distance. Also the 2 center lower screws on the center spar slide interfere with the cross tube of the fuselage. There is no room for bolt heads. Any suggestions? Thank you

The stringers lie against the fuse. I used anti-chafing tape at the points of contact. Not sure about your second question.

Like some others, I used short stand offs mid-fuselage. Maybe a photo would help with the second question.

The carry thru for the spar is against a fuselage cross tube. No room for any bolts for the carry thru.

Nice standoff. Heck, maybe that's the right way and what I said is wrong. Not sure, to tell you the truth.

On the bolts for the carry-thru, I can't find any photos of mine and can't remember (of course) how I did it. In your picture, you have bushings at those holes and the bushings interfere with the seat frame?

Ed

The bottom center of the carry thru has 2 AN4 bolts in its center about 4 inches apart. . There is no room for them because of the cross tube on the bottom of the fuselage. I guess the best thing to do is countersink the interfering holes for a flathead.

A quick check fit up of my main spar carry through looks like the bolt heads will just clear the top of the tube.

Side stringers against the side of the fuselage, for the spar carry-thru bottom center bolts I moved them out to the edge of the plate and as high as possible on the carry thru 3/4 square tube to clear the cross member.

Sounds good, thanks for the ideas. I'm going to do that on the carry thru holes. Thank you
