I was exploring around my new home in Tucson and came across this very cool store. EE Surplus. Elliott Electronic Surplus. The main store is a bit like on old Radio Shack, but not quite as big as the Fry's Electronics in Las Vegas. Next Door however is a surplus store that is a warehouse of true curiosity. An old 172 is parked in front, inside is a Teenie-Two homebuilt on the floor ($2K) from the rafters an "I do-know-what" fabric homebuilt and around the store an amazing array of aircraft parts and electronics. Need an Aeronca nose bowl? or a 737 wing flap? or the left wing of a Piper? or any of a multitude of ailerons? or God knows what from many jet retired inventories. There are two military bases in Tucson. What caught my eye is a terrific display of 2 minute turn, altimeters, and VOR instruments, for sale $45-$70. They look to be in very good condition. This store has been open two years. So to say that they are just getting going now after Covid. If you are looking for a hard to find item, give them a call.
