This was posted to a facebook group im part of. The odd thing about it is it has a stator mounted behind the prop hub, and i have never seen such a thing before on these. Is this commonplace?

This looks like a cover over a Super Vee bearing support, but with an alternative hub and stator. It's a first for me, so I'm just speculating......
 
I bought one of these from Monnett for my KR-2 in the mid 1970's.
 
That looks like a Lyster Aviation conversion. My Sonerai I started out life with one. Very heavy and not very reliable.
