I removed the wings to trailer my bird home for upgrades and discovered there are no folding brackets installed. I want to put brackets in and restore this option but have no clue how to get started or what sourcing or fabrication details are needed. I will likely have to purchase build plans for the overall task but am inquiring if any builders out there can share any specs, details and pics to get me started.
Thanks in advance. :)

If they were not installed in the wing then you would have to pull the inboard skin off at least one side as the bracket is attached to the front wing spar leading edge. I suppose you could cut a hole and fabricate an access panel as an alternate to pulling the skin off. It is a simple bracket inside the wing, but there is also supposed to be a pivot tube welded to the fuselage that sticks out about 6 inches.. I found the attached picture online that shows the mechanism but missing the tube that slides through the wing bracket and attaches to the stub on the fuselage.

You'll also have to notch a few of the ribs and attachment brackets on the face of the wing spar.
